These photographs were taken at Sinai Temple's celebration of the 60th anniversary of the birth of Israel.
On May 9, 2008, the entire congregation joined for a Shabbat Service filled with music, prayers. and
songs; at the Oneg that followed, we shared cakes created by members of the congregation - 60 cakes,
each honoring one of the 60 years of Israel's existence. The cakes were demonstrations of the
congregation's creativity and imagination - and knowledge of the history of Israel - not to mention baking
skills. The pictures are the work of Michael Gordon whose photographic skills have provided us with
memorable pictures of memorable events in the life of the congregation of Sinai Temple.
