As the program year comes to a close, I want to give a big “Thank you!” to our very own “Shir Fun!” and the dedicated “Shir Fun!” Parental Auxiliary! It was a great first year for the “Shir Fun!” and I am looking forward to even bigger and better things next year! You can catch the 5769 version of “Shir Fun!” one last time at the Family Service on Friday, June 5! Come and hear these talented youngsters sing some of their favorite cool Jewish tunes from the past year!

It’s June, but I am already thinking about the High Holidays! As usual, we will need LOTS of Torah readers for the services, so if you would like to chant Torah on Yontif, please give me a call here at the Temple office (736-3619) or send me an e-mail at mlevson@sinai-temple.org. I’ll make you a CD of the portion to help you practice. (Or if a CD is way too last century for you, I can do mp3 files, too!)

Rehearsals for the High Holiday Adult Volunteer Choir will begin during the summer! If you would like to sing for the evening Yontif services as part of the Adult Volunteer Choir, please let me know by calling me here at the Temple or by sending me e-mail. No previous choral experience is necessary, only a desire to praise the Holy One with song!

Finally, it is hard to believe, but this month marks the conclusion of my first year here at Sinai Temple! On behalf of the entire Levson clan, I would like to thank everyone for warmly welcoming us into the Sinai family. It was a great first year, I am honored to serve as your Cantor, and I look forward to celebrating many more years together!
