As we prepare for Pesach, please check out our website! Thanks to the recording prowess of webmaster Howard Kalodner, there are a number of Pesach melodies now available for your listening and practicing pleasure! Listen to some “old favorites” and learn some new tunes to liven up your Passover Seder!

On the Saturday evening during Pesach (April 11), I will be joining some good friends of mine at Temple Si- nai of Worcester. Robbi Sherwin, Scott Leader, and Steve Brodsky are collectively known as “Sababa!” and they will be giving a concert at 7:00 that evening, along with guests Ellen and Peter Allard, Yom Hadash, and yours truly. It’s a fundraiser for this Temple: tickets are $18, $10 for students and seniors. Kids under 10 are free! Come and hear some great contemporary Jewish music just a quick trip down the Pike! For directions and further info, call (508) 755-2519. And be sure to check out Sababa’s website at www.sababamusic.com to hear some samples of their music.

I am pleased to report that the Jewish Meditation sessions that began back in January are continuing! The “Shal-OM” group will be meeting up in the Magen David room on Saturday mornings at 10:00, right after Torah study, during the month of April. The group is open to anyone interested in learning about and practicing Jew- ish Meditation, and, as always, you don’t have to sit on the floor!

Friday evening, April 17 will be a beautiful celebration of love and music (and chocolate!) as I present some musical settings from the Song of Songs with my wife of over twenty years, Sheri, along with some special guests! Who are those guests, you may ask? You’ll just have to come to services that evening to find out!

Finally, Friday evening, April 24, will mark the Mas- sachusetts debut of a group I occasionally sang with during the past few years, the Connecticut Z’mirah Chorale. Founded and directed by Dr. Kevin Mack, the CT Z’mirah Chorale performs a wide variety of Jewish choral music of the highest quality. This evening their program will focus on choral arrangements of Israeli songs, in celebration of Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israeli Indepen- dence Day! Please join me in welcoming this talented group of Connecticut musicians to the Bay State!

Ivdu et Hashem B’simcha!
Serve the Holy One with Joy!
